As writers, we typically write. And by write, I mean we write everything down no matter what it is. We write to do list, grocery list, notes on things we may want to write, character sketches on people we know or do not know. For writers, writing comes naturally. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it comes naturally good, but as a writer, I write down a lot of ideas, even if I don’t foresee anything ever coming from it. I always want and need to option of having the chance to use some of those ideas somewhere in my writing.
Today’s writing project (A new idea that popped into my head last night and I jotted it down into a screenwriting book I’m reading) that I have began writing has a lot of hope. By hope, I’m basically mean that
I hope I can create this awesome idea into a bestselling novel or at most create 80,000 words. I have a small amount of doubt about this, but clearly not enough to deter me from going further. I guess my doubt popped up when I discovered I can’t figure out what color my MC’s eyes are. Yes I know, silly right? The color is very important in the beginning here because of what the townsfolk call her. Her name is Gemma and the townsfolk call her “the gem of Redwood”. So see my small predicament. I know it’ll come to me at some point, but as for the moment, I’m stuck.
Yesterday, my best friend sent me a link to a great writing site called Fuel Your Writing. It has a lot of useful information on it that feeds or fuels your writing.
With my huge list of “Things to Do” I can finally cross one off my list. I completed the guest room remodel finally. There are a few tweaks that need to be done like two bedside lamps and a few pictures on the walls, but other than that, it’s completed. I can’t wait for the rest of the house to be completed, then I can go back to my normal daily life of writing and creating.
