Well, it’s the end of the week and year for that matter and I’ve been slacking on my brainstorming sessions. With a full-time job Monday – Friday and extra activities after work, this week has been a bit chaotic. Being the end of the year and holiday time makes it rough too. So today since I have a bit of downtime here at work I’m going to brainstorm some new blog ideas, article ideas, and expand on my e-book a bit. There is so much I want to get finished before December 31st (tomorrow), but it’s almost like every obstacle that can get in my way does. Don’t you just hate that?
So I’ve compiled a long long list, 136 to be exact of possible blogging and article ideas for the coming year. I’m so excited, I can’t wait to get started! As for my novel, well that’s a different ball game altogether. I’ve hit a wall and can’t seem to find the hammer to knock that thing down. I have come up with two other book ideas. One is writing a family history of my family. And since I don’t know much about them or where they come from it’s going to be a lot of work trying to trace back to my origins. So that will be a constant ongoing book project. The next one is a series book. It will be a 3 part series but I haven’t worked out all the details yet. The third will either be a short story, novella, or maybe an autobiography. It’s still in the air for now.
Yesterday I received my awesome little notebook that I can carry around with me to jot down my ideas, etc. You can find it here. These little books are great for brainstorming as well and gives you something quick and easy to refer back to while writing.
With 2017 right around the corner, literally, I have decided that I only have 2 New Year Resolutions this time around. I tossed the list of 10 -15 goals that I know aren’t going to happen. You know the ones of going to the gym, getting fit, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, not going to happen although it would great if it did. I decided I’m only going to focus on two.
- Get rid of all my debt
- Finish at least a rough draft of one of my novel ideas
Sounds simple enough, right?
Well, that’s all I have for now. I hope you all have an awesome and safe New Year weekend. Please feel free to share your New Year resolutions. I’d love to hear them.
